Since September, the Castle Park Project team has been hitting the pavement in search of partners, through grants and fundraisers, to help us rebuild Castle Park. As of Dec. 14, Castle Park has raised over $317,000 -- blowing away our goal in less than four months! With the $300,000 "hit," the City of Augusta will add an additional $300,000. Sounds great except the build design, materials, and timeline was expanded by an additional $150,000.
With that in mind, T-Mobile's $50,000 Hometown Grant is a HUGE gift to Augusta and we are thrilled! Dreams for small communities are alive and well with partners that value vision, hard work, and collaborative plans. We will press on to the end and look forward to a successful build May 24-26 and May 28-June 2, 2024. Let's go Augusta!
